FenX
FenX tackles the decarbonation of buildings proposing thermal insulation materials created from minerals. Following the concepts of circular economy, the long-term vision of FenX is to produce recyclable construction materials worldwide in a decentralized fashion using locally available and sustainable sources. FenX is a spinoff from ETH Zürich. It derives from the joint effort of four young scientists and entrepreneurs – Dr. Etienne Jeoffroy, Dr. Michele Zanini, Enrico Scoccimarro and Alessandro Dutto – who know each other from their time at the Laboratory for Complex Materials at ETH Zurich. They worked on innovative insulation materials in the group of Prof. André Studart together with Dr. Elena Tervoort, both as well cofounders and advisors of FenX. The team is supported by the business and financial expertise of both Anton Affentranger, former Chairman and CEO of Implenia, and of Michael Stucky, successful serial entrepreneur.
