a swiss national, born and raised in South America, anton affentranger studied economics and politics at Geneva University where he received his Masters Degree.
in 1981, anton affentranger started his career at UBS where he successively occupied the positions of Head of Project Finance in New York and Branch Manager in Hong Kong and Geneva, before being appointed to the Executive Management Board of UBS in Zurich in 1996. From 1998 to 2000, he was Managing Partner and CEO of the private bank Lombard Odier & Cie in Geneva. After Lombard Odier & Cie he joined the pharmaceutical group Roche in Basel as CFO. From 2006 until 2018 he was the Chairman and CEO of the Implenia Group.
he is the Founder and Chairman of affentranger associates and Corporate Investment Management Affentranger Holding AG (CIMA AG), Chairman of Dartfish SA, SELFRAG SA and of Transmission Technology Holding AG (forteq group).
